RESOLUTION NO. 2082
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did
<br />at.its special meeting on the 29th day of December, 1980,
<br />approve the advertisement for bids for painting and repair
<br />of a 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank, which bids
<br />were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, February
<br />4, 1981; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project
<br />was made by Curtis Lolley, d /b /a Hercules Tank & Iron Works,
<br />P. 0. Box 166, Butler, Alabama, 36904, and it should be
<br />awarded the contract for such construction; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction .
<br />project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
<br />should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That the "Ji.d of Curtis Lolley, d /b /a Hercules Tank
<br />& Iron Works, for painting and repair of the 500,000 gallon
<br />elevated water storage tank, within 130 consecutive cal-
<br />endar days, in the amount of $58,500,00, is hereby accepted
<br />and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of
<br />the terms and specifications included in the bid documents;
<br />and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
<br />Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized
<br />and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
<br />contract for painting and repair of the 500,000 gallon ele-
<br />vated water storage tank, upon the terms and conditions
<br />and in the form shown. in Exhibit A attached hereto, with
<br />Curtis Lolley, d /b /a Hercules Tank & Iron Works.
<br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of February, 1981,
