4 ;;. <br />181 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Burnett requested the Council's consideration of previously <br />authorized Traffic Ordinances: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2556 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC- CONTROL DEVICE <br />MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING; FOR A <br />PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1981. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2557 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC NO PARKING MAP <br />ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (c) OF SECTION 29 -112 OF SAID CODE; ESTABLISHING A NO <br />PARKING AREA; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1981. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Council- <br />man Kohls for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested the Council's confirmation of the appointment <br />of Dan Brotton as Director of Public Works. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham confirming the appointment. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll recommended that a public hearing be called for the purpose <br />of closing an alley that runs east from 19th Street N. E. to 20th Street N. E. <br />between Booth Street and Tudor Street. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, <br />seconded by Councilman Wortham that a public hearing be called as recommended. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2085 referring 28 properties to the Building Hazard Inspection <br />Committee was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by <br />Councilman Wortham for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />
