City Attorney Haynes requested the item be <br />tabled at this time. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Council- <br />man Wortham to table the matter. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for the reading of a previously authorized Traffic Ordinance <br />concerning stop signs. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2560 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC - <br />CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; <br />PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE OF APRIL 1, 1981. <br />was presented. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for the reading of a previously authorized Traffic Ordinance <br />concerning no parking zone on the West side of 100 block of 3rd S. E. and a no <br />parking zone on 24th S. E. between Clarksville and Jefferson Rd. Asst. Police <br />Chief, James Barnett, appeared before the Council stating there was objections <br />to the no parking zone by property owners adjacent to the PJC Apartments and <br />some confusion about recommendations. After discussion, a motion was made by <br />Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman Burnett to refer the matter back to the <br />Traffic Commission for their clarification and recommendation to the City Council. <br />The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2088 authorizing <br />the City of Paris the Landlord's <br />City National Bank of Paris was <br />Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />and directing the Mayor to execute on behalf of <br />Subordination Agreement in favor of the First <br />presented.
