The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett,seconded by Councilman Williams to go <br />into agenda item No 19A. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the next item was to consider authorizing a permit <br />to Paris Flight Center for aircraft instruction and rental and that the permit <br />had been recommended for approval by the Airport Advisory Board. A motion was <br />made by Councilma Burnett, seconded by Councilman Wortham for approval of the <br />permit. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for the reading of a previously authorized Ordinance to <br />close the alley that runs east from 19th N. E. to 20th N. E., between Booth <br />Street and Tudor Street in City Block 227 -C. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2567 <br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE ALLEY, BEGINNING AT THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF 19TH <br />STREET, N. E., AT THE SOUTH WEST CORNER OF LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 227C, AND THE <br />NORTH WEST CORNER OF LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 227C, BEING 20 FEET WIDE, AND EXTEND- <br />ING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION APPROXIMATELY 410 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO THE <br />WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF 20TH STREET, N. E., AND THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF LOT <br />3, CITY BLOCK 227C AND THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 227C, LY- <br />ING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINES OF LOTS 3, 3A, AND 5 AND ADJACENT <br />TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINES OF LOTS 1, 1A, 1B AND 2, ALL IN CITY BLOCK 227C; <br />DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID ALLEY FOR CITY USE OTHER THAN FOR A <br />UTILITY EASEMENT, WHICH IS EXPRESSLY RETAINED BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 14, 1981. <br />was presented.
