1 <br />i <br />ry <br />i 4- <br />Mayor Burnett called for the reading of a previously authorized Ordinance offering <br />a reward of $500.00 for i °Iformation leading to the arrest and conviction of <br />persons stealing City property. Considerable discussion was had, and Chief of <br />Police, Whitley appeared before the Council and discussed the Ordinance. After <br />discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman Williams <br />to table the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. (� <br />City Manager Sokoll reported on the General Clean up program of the City. I - <br />Mayor Burnett appointed City Attorney Haynes and Councilman Williams to meet <br />with the Lamar County Commissioner's Court on May 19, 1981, 5:30 P. M. Lamar <br />County Court House to discuss a proposal by the County for re- districting <br />of County, School, and City Districts. <br />Councilman Kohls discussed with the Council a proposed Hazardous Waste Dump <br />Site in Southwest Red River County. Councilman Kohls stated that the City <br />should request further information from proposers of the dump site and a <br />possible public hearing in July for citizens of City and Lamar County. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the Council would go into executive session, and <br />the regular session was declared closed and the executive session open. <br />Discussion was had with City Attorney Haynes on legal matters. <br />The executive session was declared closed and the regular session open. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />BILLY J.
