243 <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of June, 1981. <br />ATTEST: <br />H. C. Gre e, City Clerk <br />APP OVE A TO FORM: <br />T. K. dynes, City ttorney <br />Mayor Burnett stated that he would receive audit proposals from Accounting Firms. <br />Mr. John McCoy appeared in behalf of his firm and Mr. Bethel H&es appeared in <br />behalf of McClanahan and Holmes, Accounting Firm. After receiving proposals <br />from both firms, a motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams to retain John McCoy for the 1980 -81 audit. The motion was called for <br />which showed 3 ayes for John McCoy and 3 nays. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Francis seconded by Councilman McGee to employee the firm of McClanahan and Holmes <br />for the 1980 -81 audit. The vote was called for and showed 3 ayes, 3 nays. Mayor <br />Burnett announced that the item would be tabled and action taken at a later Council <br />meeting. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for the following <br />items: Lease purchase of wheel loader for the Street Department; Lease purchase <br />of a copy machine for the Police Department; Purchase of an ambulance for the <br />E.M.S. Department; Purchase of new raw water pump at Pat Mayse Lake; Purchase <br />of Civil Defense Warning System; Two truck loads of 6" Plastic Water Pipe; One <br />Tractor -Mower for Cox Field. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by <br />Councilman McGee authorizing the advertising of bids as requested. The motion <br />carried 5 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Francis voting nay. <br />Resolution No. 2099 showing the opposition of the City of Paris to the location <br />of a chemical waste disposal facility in the vicinity of Cunningham, Texas was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Williams <br />for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
