City Manager Sokoll requested authorization of the Council for the preparation <br />of an'Ordinance dealing with fair housing. A motion was made by Councilman: <br />Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams approving the request of the City <br />Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, O nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes requested consideration of the Council for an Ordinance <br />relating to the operations.of the Library .repealing certain sections of the <br />Ordinance that are no longer necessary. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2488 <br />AN ORDINAHCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL <br />OF SECTIONS 17 -18, 17 -19, 17 -20, 17 -21, AND 17 -22 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br />CITY OF PARIS,.PARIS, TEXAS AND DECLARING THE SAME TO BE NULL ANO VOID AND <br />OF HO EFFECT; REPEAL.IMG ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AMD PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 14, 1980. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />Farris for approval of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resoiut on*llo. 2007 appointing Ross Alsup as a member of,the Parks & Recreation <br />Board to:'serve the unexpired term of James L. Bolton which ends Jung 30, 1931 <br />was presented. A.--motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded_ by Councilman <br />Farris for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried T ayes;, 0 nays. <br />
