/ , ♦•y <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kyle, seconded by Councilman Francis for adop- <br />tion of the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay Councilman Williams <br />voting nay. <br />City Manager Sokoll advised the Council of a petition from property owners <br />living north of Pine Mill Road on 31st Street N. E. for water and sewer paving <br />and presented the following preliminary estimates: <br />Water <br />$16,080.00 <br />Sewer <br />$23,214.00 <br />Street <br />$39,408.00 <br />Mr. James Holland, Mr. Dudley Evans, Mrs. Wanda Patterson, Mr. Darvis Davidson, <br />and Mrs. Loyd Cunningham appeared before the Council in behalf of the petition <br />requesting water and sewer service and street paving. After discussin, Mayor <br />Malone appointed a committee composed of Councilman Williams, Councilman Burnett, <br />and Councilman Kyle to make a study of the request as contained in the petition <br />and recommendation to the City Council. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for 12,500 <br />feet of 6 inch Plastic Water Pipe to be used chiefly in the Community Develop- <br />ment Block Grant Program. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by <br />Councilman Francis approving the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for Street <br />Department equipment consisting of a 9 wheel roller, 1500 gallon asphalt <br />distributor, heat tank and dump truck. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, <br />seconded by Councilman Kyle approving the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2012 calling for a city election for Councilman from Ward <br />one, two, three, and six and designating polling places and appointing <br />election officials was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, <br />seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
