Mayor Malone requested the Council's consideration of a previously authorized <br />Ordinance to install stop signs at Hickory and Fitzhugh Ave. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2493 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC - <br />CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; <br />PROVIDING FOR A-PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE OF APRIL 1, 1980. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman <br />Burnett for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented a request of the Uvalde Construction Company <br />to erect a concrete batch plant on the property of B & B Construction Company <br />West of South Church Street, and advised that the Company was to supply concrete <br />for the State Highway 24 South Project. City Manager Sokoll advised that the <br />zoning Ordinance provides for temporary plans such as this to be authorized by <br />City Council Resolution, and recommended that the Resolution be approved. <br />Resolution No. 2017 granting Barney Bray III d /b /a B & B Equipment Company <br />a temporary zoning for the purpose of locating a concrete batching plant <br />on Lot 9, City Block 170A was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
