Mayor Malone requested the Council's consideration of a previously authorized Ordinance to install stop signs at Hickory and Fitzhugh Ave. ORDINANCE NO. 2493 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC - CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A-PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1980. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Burnett for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sokoll presented a request of the Uvalde Construction Company to erect a concrete batch plant on the property of B & B Construction Company West of South Church Street, and advised that the Company was to supply concrete for the State Highway 24 South Project. City Manager Sokoll advised that the zoning Ordinance provides for temporary plans such as this to be authorized by City Council Resolution, and recommended that the Resolution be approved. Resolution No. 2017 granting Barney Bray III d /b /a B & B Equipment Company a temporary zoning for the purpose of locating a concrete batching plant on Lot 9, City Block 170A was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
