0 16 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />April 28, 1980 <br />The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday <br />April 28, 1980 at 7:00 P. M., City Council Room. Mayor Malone called the meet- <br />ing to order with the following Councilmen present: Travis Wortham, Addie J. <br />Bufford, Billy J. Burnett, Kenneth E. Kohls, W. C. Francis, and Ronald Kyle. <br />Also present were City Manager, Robert W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, <br />and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the first order of business would be the appointment <br />of a Council member to the Midwest Video Rate Request Committee. Mayor Malone <br />appointed Kenneth E. Kohls to serve on the Committee. <br />The City Council went into a workshop session on the 1980 -81 Budget. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />MICHAEL E. M., City Council Room. Mayor Malone called the meeting to <br />order with the following Councilmen present: Travis Wortham, Addie J. Bufford, <br />Billy J. Burnett, Kenneth E. Kohls, W. C. Francis and Ronald Kyle. Also present <br />were City Manager, Robert W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, <br />H. C. Greene. <br />Mayor Malone announced the first order of business would be the appointment of <br />a Council member to the Sewer Infiltration /Inflow Council Committee. Mayor <br />Malone appointed Addie J. Bufford to serve as a Council member to serve with <br />Councilman Francis, Chairman, and Mayor Malone. <br />Mayor Malone called for tabulations of bids for parking lot paving at Record <br />Park and the following bids were presented: <br />Boorham Fields Inc. <br />David Buster Construction Co. <br />$10,837.00 <br />$19,760.00 <br />City Manager Sokoll recommended that the low bid of the Boorham Field Company <br />be approved. <br />Resolution No. 2025 authorizing and directing the City Manager to execute a <br />contract with the Boorham Field Equipment Company for the construction of <br />asphalt paving lot at Record Park in the amount of $10,837.00 was presented. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Khols for <br />adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
