Mayor Brunette called for the tabulation of bids modeling work on the old police annex building, sented: Will Horne & Son HE $5,387.65 1.54 for furnishing portions of re-- and the following bids were pre- Alternate $5,205.81 City Manager Sweatt recommended that the bid of the Will Horne & Son, alternate, be approved in the amount of $5,205.81. A Resolution was presented approving the bid and authorizing the mayor to execute a contract with Will Horne & Son. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman King that the resolution be approved. The vote was taken, showing 2 ayes, 4 nays, and the motion failed. A motion was made by Councilman Whitaker and seconded by Coun� cilman Hutchison authorizing the city manager to advertise for bids to be received December 4, 1974, tabulated and presented to the City Council at its Regular Meeting on December 9, 1974, for the furnishing of portions of remodeling work on the old police annex building. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Brunette called for the tabulation of bids received for the curb and gutter work on East Cherry Street from 20th to 25th Street S. E., and the following bids were presented: Time Amount Bill Haley 20 days $10,860.00 B & B Equip. Co. 15 days $13,200.00 City Manager Sweatt recommended the bid of the BiTl Haley Construction Company be approved. Resolution No. 1648, accepting the bid of Bill Haley Construction Company, and authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and seconded by Councilman Rainey that the resolution be adopted. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays._
