15 SPECIAL REQUI REME ITS E. CHERRY STREET 20th -25th St. N.E. 1) The contractor is bidding the curb and gutter and the construction of the drive- ways. All prices are unit prices and the actual measurements will- be only con- sidered for payment. 2) The City of Patis Street Departt:ient will grade the area where the curb and gutter is located, fill with-8" I*tite Rock Materials, Compact, and have the site ready for the contractor to construct the curb and gutter. The contractor should realize that the Street Department Work night be off two inches, and in this case the contractor will adjust the grade to the fortis. If additional materials are needed, the city will provide the materials to the site of the job with no cost to the contractor. 3) The contractor is to fill behind the curb and adjust the grade to the adjacent property. Fill materials to be approved by the City Inspector. 4) The time of completion is the essence of this contract. The contractor will be charged liquidation damages in the amount of $50.00 for each day after the date specified on the Proposal for the completion of said work.. 5) The contractor should make it available to the owners to get in and out of their residence at.all times. 6) All work to be in accordance with the City of Paris Ordinance 1365. 7) The contractor should use barricades, lights, and warning signals during the life of his contract to avoid traffic hazzards. 8) The contractor should have Liability Insurance and Damage Insurance in accordance with the City of Paris current requirements to release the City and hold harmless in the event of accident. 9) The contractor should comply with all Federal, State, and City Laws and Ordinances in performing this job.
