<br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for an air
<br />compressor for use in the Fire Department, such bids to be received 10:00 A. M.,
<br />September 4, 1974, tabulated, and presented to the Council at its next regu-
<br />lar meeting, September 9, 1974. A motion was made by Councilman King and se-
<br />conded by Councilman Moore that the request be approved. The motion carried:
<br />5 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />City Attorney Haynes presented a Resolution authorizing execution of Right Of
<br />Way easement to Dr. Richard Swint, to his property North of Lake Crook. Dr.
<br />Swint appeared before the Council stating that there was misrepresentation in
<br />his request. City Manager Sweatt recommended that the item be tabled for
<br />further study. Mayor Brunette referred the request to the City staff for
<br />further study and recommendation.

<br />and presented to the Council at its meeting in October. A motion was made
<br />by Councilman Whitaker and seconded by Councilman Stone that the request be
<br />granted. The motion carried: 5 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Resolution No. 1629, authorizing Mayor James M. Brunette to enter into a con-
<br />tract for base preparation, base material, grading, surfacing and curb and
<br />gutter, on 27th Street S. E., from Clarksville Street South to Jefferson Road,
<br />in the amount of $136,426.40, was presented. A motion was made by Council-
<br />man Hutchison and seconded by Councilman Moore that the Resolution be adopted.
<br />The motion carried: 5 ayes, O-nays.
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 1629
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore
<br />advertise for and receive bids on July 25, 1974, and bid was awarded to
<br />David Buster on July 29, 1974, at a cost of $11316,426. 40 for base pre-
<br />paration, base material, grading, surfacing and curb and gutter, on 27th
<br />Street, S. E. ,. from Clarksville Street South to Jefferson Road; NOW,
<br />THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and
<br />he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
<br />Paris the contract attached hereto as Exhibit A, with David Buster, for
<br />base preparation, base material, grading, surfacing and curb and gutter,
<br />on 27th Street, S. E. , from Clarksville Street South to Jefferson Road, in
<br />the amount of $136,426.40.
