326) MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL May 12, 1975 The Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on May 12, 1975 at 7:00 P. M. Mayor James M. Brunette called the meeting to order with the following Council- men present: Joe King, Brad Hutchison, W. M. (Dub) Moore, Sam M. Stone, Doyle Whitaker, and Lloyd Sterling. Also present were City Manager K. R. Sweatt, City Attorney T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk H. C. Greene. Prayer was offered by Reverend Ray Armstrong, pastor of First Christian Church. Mayor Brunette asked if there were any.additions or corrections to the minutes of the previous meetings as furnished the members of the Council. There being none, the minutes were approved. Mayor Brunette announced that the first order of business would be consideration of the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held on May 5, 1975. Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of Sandra Ingram for change in zoning from a TYro- Family Dwelling District to a Neighborhood Service District, Lots 7 and 8, City Block 227E, located at 353 20th N. E.. Recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission were unanimous in favor of the petitioner. Mayor Brunette called for proponents to appear, and Mrs. Sandra Ingram appeared, stating that she wished to add to a present building, making enough room for an additional beauty operator. Mayor Brunette asked for opponents to appear, and none appeared. Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing closed, and Ordinance No. 2219: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) ON LOTS 7 AND 8, CITY BLOCK 227E, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO SANDRA PEARL INGRAM, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A TWO- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F), AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) SO ESTABLISHED." was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and seconded by Council- man Moore for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing on the petition of D. A. Ensey, Jr., open, for a change in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a Commercial District, Lot 11, City Block 316, located on the west side of Loop 235 P;. E., approximately 785 feet north of Pine Mill Road. The Planning and Zoning Commission had voted unanimously in favor of the petitioner. ;:either proponents nor opponents appeared, and Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing closed.
