326) <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />May 12, 1975 <br />The Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on May 12, 1975 at 7:00 P. M. <br />Mayor James M. Brunette called the meeting to order with the following Council- <br />men present: Joe King, Brad Hutchison, W. M. (Dub) Moore, Sam M. Stone, Doyle <br />Whitaker, and Lloyd Sterling. Also present were City Manager K. R. Sweatt, City <br />Attorney T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk H. C. Greene. <br />Prayer was offered by Reverend Ray Armstrong, pastor of First Christian Church. <br />Mayor Brunette asked if there were any.additions or corrections to the minutes of <br />the previous meetings as furnished the members of the Council. There being none, <br />the minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Brunette announced that the first order of business would be consideration <br />of the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held on <br />May 5, 1975. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of Sandra Ingram <br />for change in zoning from a TYro- Family Dwelling District to a Neighborhood Service <br />District, Lots 7 and 8, City Block 227E, located at 353 20th N. E.. <br />Recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission were unanimous in favor of <br />the petitioner. <br />Mayor Brunette called for proponents to appear, and Mrs. Sandra Ingram appeared, <br />stating that she wished to add to a present building, making enough room for an <br />additional beauty operator. <br />Mayor Brunette asked for opponents to appear, and none appeared. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing closed, and Ordinance No. 2219: <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING <br />A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) ON LOTS 7 AND 8, <br />CITY BLOCK 227E, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO SANDRA PEARL <br />INGRAM, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY <br />DESIGNATED AS A TWO- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F), AND <br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE <br />DISTRICT (NS) SO ESTABLISHED." <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and seconded by Council- <br />man Moore for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing on the petition of D. A. Ensey, Jr., open, <br />for a change in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a Commercial <br />District, Lot 11, City Block 316, located on the west side of Loop 235 P;. E., <br />approximately 785 feet north of Pine Mill Road. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission had voted unanimously in favor of the petitioner. <br />;:either proponents nor opponents appeared, and Mayor Brunette declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br />
