Mr. Sweatt advised that the bidder had placed <br />in error an amount for Lot 15 and requested authorization and recom- <br />mended that the bid award be given to the next high.bidder, that being <br />Mr. Calvin Gibson. A motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and se- <br />conded by Councilman Moore that the recommendation of the city manager <br />be approved. The motion carried:. 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt advised the Council of the receipt of a letter of <br />resignation of Mr. Robert Norment from the Traffic Commission. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Sterling and seconded by Councilman Hutchison <br />that the resignation be accepted with regret. The motion carried: <br />4 ayes, 0 nays: <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization for the withdrawal of a <br />bid date for the Maxey Museum restoration work which had been set for <br />Wednesday, June 4, 1975. Mr. Sweatt advised that the United States <br />Department of Labor had notified that a re- survey of labor rates be <br />made as a part of the contract was the reason-for the delay. After <br />discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Moore and seconded by <br />Councilman Hutchison to withdraw the bid date on the Maxey Museum <br />restoration project.
