°382 <br />City Manager Sweatt advised the Council that he had received the resignation of Mr. J. A. <br />Hickman from the Electrical Board. <br />City Manager Sweatt advised the Council that he had received a request from the Cass <br />Ambulance Service, Inc., to place new contract rates in effect prior to July 1, 1975, <br />such request being made in order to establish Medicare reimbursement rates for the <br />year, 1976. Mr. Sweatt advised that as a result of numerous telephone calls,. he had been <br />informed that the rate change prior to September 1, 1975 would not produce the desired <br />results, that is to assure increase in Medicare participation through Medicare profile <br />of "customary rates". No action was taken on the request— <br />City Manager Sweatt advised the Council of the resignation of Mr. Jim Ray, Lieutenant, <br />Police Reserve Unit, presently serving as commander of the Police Reserve unit.. <br />City Manager Sweatt advised the Council that Police Chief Loyd Mathews had appointed <br />Sergeant Weldon Foster, Paris Police Reserve Unit, as the new Paris Police Reserve <br />commander with the rank of Lieutenant and requested the action of Chief Mathews be <br />confirmed. A motion was made by Councilman Stone and seconded by Councilman Sterling <br />that the action of Chief Loyd Mathews be confirmed. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Resolution No. 1691, transferring from the Contingent Appropriation Account to Budget <br />Appropriation Accounts, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and <br />seconded by Councilman Moore that the resolution be adopted. The motion carried: 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />
