1 Regular Council Meeting <br />August 23, 2010 <br />Page 2 <br />Consent Agenda <br />Mayor Biard inquired of Council Members if they wished to pull any items from the <br />Consent Agenda for discussion. There were none. <br />Council Member Pickle made a Motion to approve the Consent Agenda and Council <br />Member McCarthy seconded the Motion. The Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed <br />to approve and adopt Consent Agenda Items 5, 6, 7, and 8. <br />5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on August 9, 2010. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and /or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Paris Public Library (6- 23 -10) <br />b. Paris Economic Development Corporation (7- 13 -10) <br />c. Airport Advisory Board (5- 20 -10) <br />d. Historic Preservation Commission (6- 28 -10; 7- 14 -10; 7- 26 -10) <br />e. Board of Adjustment (7 -6 -10) <br />£ Planning and Zoning Commission (5 -3 -10; 6 -7 -10; 8 -2 -10) <br />g. Main Street Advisory Board (4- 20 -10) <br />h. Fire and Building Code Review Committee (6- 15 -10; 8- 10 -10) <br />7. Deliberate on July monthly financial report. <br />8. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. <br />Regular Agenda <br />9. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate and possibly an act on AN ORDINANCE OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS APPROVING AND <br />ADOPTING REVISIONS TO THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN MAP FOR THE CITY <br />OF PARIS AS SET FORTH HEREIN; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, <br />A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Biard opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak in support <br />of this item, to please come forward. No one spoke in support of this item. Mayor Biard asked <br />for anyone wishing to speak in opposition to this item, to please come forward. With no one <br />speaking, Mayor Biard closed the public hearing. <br />A Motion to invoke the super majority rule was made by Council Member Pickle and <br />seconded by Council Member McCarthy. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />
