Deliberate and possibly act on RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -038: A RESOLUTION OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, DECLARING CERTAIN <br />USED PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF PARIS AS SURPLUS PROPERTY <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO THE RED RIVER REGION <br />INCUBATOR PROJECT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member McCarthy and seconded by <br />Council Member Rhonda Rogers. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />16. Public hearing, deliberate and approve the nomination of certain Historic Signs located in <br />the Downtown Historic District. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Rhonda Rogers and <br />seconded by Council Member Jason Rogers. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />17. Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -039: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; APPROVING AN APPLICATION <br />FOR AN AUTOMOBILE BURGLARY & THEFT PREVENTION GRANT FOR <br />CONTINUATION OF OUR AUTO THEFT TASK FORCE THE TOTAL OF THE <br />GRANT IS EXPECTED TO BE $139,522.00 WITH A CASH MATCH OF $41,993.00 <br />ALONG WITH AN IN -KIND MATCH OF $2,900.00; AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR ACCEPTANCE <br />AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SAID GRANT UPON NOTICE THEREOF; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member McCarthy and seconded by <br />Council Member Pickle. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />18. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government <br />Code, Consultation with Attorney, to receive legal advice from the City Attorney about <br />pending or contemplated litigation and/or on matters in which the duty of an attorney to <br />his client under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of <br />Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter. <br />Mayor Biard announced that an Executive Session was not needed. <br />19. Reconvene into open. <br />City Council did not have an Executive Session. <br />20. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004 -081. <br />
