MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING 1411 <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />October 24, 2011 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />October 24, 2011, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br />Openinii Agenda <br />Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Robert Avila; John Wright; Richard Grossnickle; <br />Matt Frierson; and Edwin Pickle <br />City Staff Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager/Finance <br />Director; Kent McIlyar, City Attorney; Janice Ellis, <br />City Clerk; Shawn Napier, City Engineer; Bob <br />Hundley, Police Chief; Ronnie Grooms, Fire Chief; <br />and Ron Sullivan, Public Works Director <br />City Council <br />Student Liaison <br />Council Member: <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Kate Maxwell <br />Joe McCarthy <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Pastor Van Lazaroff gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Grossnickle led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Larry Grinstead, 305 32nd — he said that he was in favor of the City taking over the <br />roadside park on Highway 82 West, but would like a privacy fence constructed on the East side. <br />He also supported a tax incentive and cleanup of West Paris. <br />M <br />
