s; <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS - 101 <br />August 13, 2012 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />August 13, 2012, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Aaron Jenkins; Billie Lancaster; John Wright; <br />Richard Grossnickle; Matt Frierson; and Cleonne <br />Drake <br />City Staff- John Godwin, City Manager; Kent McIlyar, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Shawn Napier, <br />City Engineer; Bob Hundley, Police Chief; Ronnie <br />Grooms, Fire Chief; Gene Anderson, Finance <br />Director; Ron Sullivan, Public Works Director; and <br />Kent Klinkerman, EMS Director <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Dr. Tommy Turner gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Grossnickle led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Bill Flanary, 1116 Lamar Ave. — he said he was at the meeting on behalf of his clients, <br />Mr. and Mrs. Roger Stripland. Mr. Flanary said Mr. Godwin issued a public apology following <br />up with a handwritten note. He said Mr. Anderson had not issued a public apology to his clients <br />and had sent them a typed note. Mr. Flanary said he wanted to know the results of the <br />investigation, any action taken, that he was at the meeting anticipating a public apology from Mr. <br />Anderson, and that they were requesting new lines be put in and a sewage connection on the <br />property as a permanent solution. <br />
