What items will the city be recycling? <br />Plastics 1, 2 & 5 <br />Beverage cans /tin food cans <br />Cardboard magazines <br />Phone books <br />Newspaper <br />Shredded paper <br />Styrofoam <br />Junk Mail <br />2. What is the total cost of the (5) 11 cubic yard containers? Roughly $20,000 <br />3. Will these items be separated or how does this work? This will be a single <br />stream recycling process. The containers are not divided or compartmentalized. <br />Once the container arrives at the CNRC the recyclables will be separated at their <br />facility. <br />4. How many locations are planned? Four sites. <br />5. Why 5 containers with only four sites? The fifth unit will be a "swap out" <br />container when a site container needs to be emptied. 1V when the community <br />participation increases we will look into additional container purchases and drop of <br />locations. <br />6. How much do you think we will save in landfill cost? Based on the four <br />suggested locations and the size of the units, we are estimating $226.80 per <br />month. Beep in mind community participation/ and awareness is the key for a long <br />term success. So the savings could increase as the community becomes more <br />aware of the program and locations. <br />7. How much of the savings could be possibly be put towards the city parks? <br />9 *2 <br />8. When do you think the city will start the recycling program? <br />The proposed program should be in full operation on January 1, 2016 <br />
