Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. One individual spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Caton Hogan, of Oklahoma City, spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Hogan stated <br />that he is the Real Estate Project Manager for the Love's Travel Stop & Country <br />Stores. Mr. Hogan stated that they are seeking approval on the signage prior to <br />purchasing the property. Louise Hagood asked why they want a 50 foot high sign. <br />Mr. Hogan stated that they had performed a test within a mile radius of the location <br />with a drone and due to 30 foot trees to the north truck drivers wouldn't be aware of <br />the store in time. Mr. Hogan stated that having a smaller sign would be a safety <br />issue. <br />B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Deanna Manning, seconded by Jerry Hanning to approve the variance <br />request. Motion carried 2 -1, with Louise Hagood in opposition. <br />Motion failed due to the lack of votes needed. <br />4. Meeting adjourned at 12:35 p.m. <br />APPROVED THE 17TH DAY OF NOVEMBE <br />
