Item No. 22 <br />Memorandum <br />TO: City Council <br />John Godwin, City Manager <br />FROM: Larry Wright, Fire Chief <br />SUBJECT: Demolition Bid <br />DATE: December 14, 2015 <br />BACKGROUND: The City of Paris contracted with Sanitation Solutions, Inc. to demolish and <br />remove debris of structures condemned by the Building Standards Commission. That contract <br />expires in December, 2015. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: A new bid was advertised for the demolition and debris removal of <br />structures condemned by the Building Standards Commission. Only one bid was received for this <br />service. Again, Sanitation Solutions, Inc. submitted the sole bid. <br />BUDGET: $60,000 demolition and $40,000 debris removal <br />RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the new contract be awarded to Sanitation <br />Solutions, Inc. for a per ton demolition and removal of $29.00 per ton, with the contract length of <br />three years. <br />
