REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 EAST KAUFMAN <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2015 <br />4:00 P.M. <br />Commissioners Present: <br />Ruth Ann Alsobrook- Chair <br />Phillip Peeples <br />Chris Dux <br />Linda Knox <br />Pat Conrad <br />Cindy Allcorn- Secretary, Vice Chair <br />Sarah Barbee <br />Cheri Bedford- HPO <br />Absent: <br />Matt Frierson- Council Liaison <br />Guests Present: <br />Alex Pickering- Scott Signs <br />Robert Burns <br />1. Chair Alsobrook called the meeting to order 4:03 p.m. quorum present <br />2. A motion was made to approve the minutes from November 11, 2015 noting Sarah Barbee <br />was not in attendance, by Commissioner Dux, seconded by Commissioner Peeples, Motion <br />carried 7 -0 <br />3. Consideration and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness: <br />Alex Pickering from Scott Signs represented Chilango 's Restaurant, 136 Clarksville St. <br />She presented the sign design, noting the current signage size will be staying the same <br />and the only change is the restaurant graphics. A motion was made to approve the <br />signage as presented by Commissioner Dux, seconded by Commissioner Alcorn, <br />Motion Carried 7 - 0 <br />4. Historic Preservation Officer gave the business card for Robert Talley, Code Enforcement <br />Supervisor for the City of Paris to commissioner for their records, and reported if they ever <br />have a concern on code violations please contact Robert. The Policy and Procedures for the <br />facade grant were presented to the commissioners and a list of administratively approved COA <br />for November. Commissioners requested the Code enforcement officer and the Police Chief <br />would attend the next meeting and discuss some enforcement issues. <br />5. Ideas for Residential Historic Home tours, Historic Commercial Building tours, and a <br />combination of both were discussed for the Preservation month in May. Many ideas were <br />suggested. Commissioner Alsobrook suggested a separate meeting be set to begin working on <br />the tour. The board agreed to meet in a special meeting after the regularly scheduled meeting <br />on January 1/, 2015. <br />3 <br />
