Item No. 10 <br />memorandum <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br />FROM: John Godwin, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: PRIVATE TAX RE -SALES <br />DATE: April 18, 2016 <br />BACKGROUND: Through a previously rarely used provision of state law, The Pounders Law <br />Firm has arranged for the private sale of six tax delinquent properties that failed to get bids <br />during previous public tax sales. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The six trustee tax properties will be sold to Steven Landers for a total of <br />$1,000. This sale will move six properties from the city's care to private maintenance, and at the <br />same time place them back on tax rolls. <br />BUDGET: The city will receive unbudgeted revenue of 1,000. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />
