MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2016 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK PM <br />The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Dennis Ashby, Chairman, at <br />5: 30 p. m. <br />A. The following members were present: Dennis Ashby, Tim Bullock, Anna Spencer, <br />Gary Tolleson, Paula Portugal, Chris Fitzgerald and Matt Birch. <br />B. Also present: John Godwin, City Manager; Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; <br />Stephanie Harris, Interim City Attorney; A.J. Hashmi, M.D., Mayor; and Ashley <br />Fendley, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (January 21, 2016) <br />Motion was made by Tim Bullock, seconded by Anna Spencer and Gary Tolleson to <br />approve the minutes from January 21, 2016 meeting. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Chris Fitzgerald arrived at 5:32p.m. <br />3. Report from Jerry Richey, Airport Manager. <br />Jerry Richey, Airport Manager stated he has awarded Ray's Tree Service the mowing bid <br />out at the Airport. Mr. Richey further stated that Everett Toyota has been in contact with <br />him about putting a courtesy car out at the Airport. If this happens the car will be wrapped <br />in Everett Toyota vinyl for pilots to use when they fly in. <br />4. Discussion regarding the Air Show for 2016 <br />Jerry Richey, Airport Managar stated that Donna Chapman owner of Harley Davidson <br />Shop has agreed upon/collected around $30,000 dollars in donations for the Air Show on <br />May 14, 2016. Mr. Richey further stated there will be about ten performers. John Godwin, <br />City Manager stated that we are glad to have Kate Kyer helping with the event. Mrs. Kyer <br />has taken on the majority of the work getting the performers and air boss for our event. <br />Jerry Richey stated that they will be creating a facebook page for Wings Over Paris to <br />spread the word of the event. The Airport Advisory Board was very pleased to see how <br />much has been accomplished with the Air Show. <br />
