SUBJECT: TWDB CONTRACTOR #62525 CID 003 PHASE III

BACKGROUND: In 2013 the Texas Water Development Board approved a low- interest loan to
the City of Paris to construct various water and wastewater projects; $500,000 of the loan was
forgivable. Upon completion of the first two phases of work, we had funds remaining, so moved
on to a third group of needed projects, as well as some in -house work using our CIP crew.
STATUS OF ISSUE: All approved and TWDB inspected construction work has been
completed, including the Phase III Water System Replacement projects totaling $381,376.20.
All new lines are functioning and in use. The project needs to be closed out by the city and the
state's TWDB, with a remaining final payout of $22,753.29.
BUDGET: Funding was through a low- interest TWDB loan.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve and accept final payment and close the project.
