SUBJECT: CONSTRUCTION UPDATE REPORT BY EST

BACKGROUND: EST, Inc., the company we hired last month to provide additional construc-
tion management and inspections has been on the job for some time now, and we have scheduled
them to provide a status report to the city council.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Senior Project Manager Rod Wallace, who some of you met previously
when he supervised the performance audit for us a few months ago, will address the council on
June 13. We will then have him (or a surrogate when appropriate) report to the council every
month thereafter.
BUDGET: NA.
RECOMMENDATION: Discussion only.
