Meeting Minutes
July 20, 2016
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:05pm by Fran
Neeley.
Attendance:
Board members in attendance were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Carol James, Rebecca Umphrey, Daisy
Harvill, Denise Kornegay, and director Priscilla McAnally.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the July meeting were unanimously approved as presented.
I. New Business:
a. Election of officers. Fran Neeley, Chair; Connie Dodd, Vice - Chair; Denise Kornegay,
Secretary
b. Board vacancy. Mike Pendleton's unexpired term needs to be filled. One application is
on file with the city. The Board was encouraged to ask for volunteers. Board positions
are filled by the City Council.
II. Old Business: None
III. Presentations
a. Budget Report. Expenditures are on target for this year.
b. Statistical Report. Circulation was down 8.61 %, and Library Visits were down
1.06 %. Increases were seen in New Library Cards, Volunteer hours, Interlibrary
Loans, Freegal Music — downloads, and Freegal Music — streaming.
IV. Friends of the Library:
No report
V. Director's Remarks:
a. Vacancy. Dedy Brock has given her two weeks' notice.
b. Posters. Approved posters for a free concert sponsored by PJC and about free health
screenings and mammograms.
Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 4:30pm.
