SUBJECT: ZONING CHANGE FOR A MOBILE HOME ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1450 WALKER STREET.
DATE: September 7, 2016
BACKGROUND: This rezoning request has been previously advertised, noticed, and published
for the September 6, 2016 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, and the September 12,
2016 City Council meeting.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Due to a lack of a quorum at the September 7th Commission meeting, this
rezoning request was not heard. Therefore, as per the legal requirement, the City Council cannot
conduct the required public hearing for this project until the same is heard and acted upon by the
Commission. Therefore, this item will not be addressed by the City Council at its September
12th meeting. The Commission will have this item scheduled for its October 3, 2016 regular
meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: Announce this zoning project as it appears on the City Council agenda
for September 12, 2016 and then table this item to a date certain, which will be October 10,
2016.
