09/15/2016 MINUTESMINUTES REGULAR MEETING AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD COUNCIL CHAMBERS 107 E. KAUFMAN STREET PARIS, TEXAS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2016 5.30 O'CLOCK PM 1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Paula Portugal, Chairman at 5:30 p.m. A. The following members were present: Anna Spencer, Paula Portugal, Tim Bullock Ray Ball, Jim Noble, Dennis Ashby and Matt Birch. B. Also present: Carla Easton, City Engineer; Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; Stephanie Harris, City Attorney; Sue Lancaster, City Council and Ashley Fendley, City Staff. 2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (August 18, 2016) Motion was made by Ray Ball, seconded by Anna Spencer to approve the minutes from September 15, 2016 meeting, with corrections. Motion carried 7 -0. 3. Update on the PEDC subcommittee. Paula Portugal stated that there are no updates with the subcommittee. 4. Discussion regarding development opportunities. The Airport Advisory Board discussed development opportunities and how the subcommittee would be an advantage to hopefully find future developers. Ray Ball stated that the City of Paris needs a plan of action when someone contacts us to develop a portion of the Airport. For example, who do they contact and what steps need to be taken. The Airport Advisory Board further discussed PEDC budget possibilities to have developers visit Cox Field. Carla Easton, City Engineer gave a brief status update on the new hangar construction project for 2017. 5. Discussion regarding delinquent hangar rentals. Stephanie Harris stated she has mailed letters to the delinquent renters. The Airport Advisory board asked if there was anything in the rental agreements that could evict delinquent renters. Stephanie Harris stated she was looking into the lease agreements. 6 Requested items for future agendas. PEDC meeting updates, delinquent hangars, discuss development opportunities, hangar leases, use of existing hangars and new hangar construction project. 7. Meeting adjourned at 6.02 p.m. APPROVED THIS 20TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2016. Chairman
