ORDINANCE NO, 7000-0,7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY ADDING A SECTION 21-106 THERETO
ESTABLISHING ZONING FEES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, finds and determines that
significant costs are incurred by the City in processing requests for changes under the Zoning
Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to assess a portion of those costs on the
parties seeking action under said Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Local Government Code, the City Charter, and the Constitution and
laws of the State of Texas authorize the City to assess fees and costs incident to the regulation of
land use within the City; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things
approved,
Section 2. That a Section 21-106 be, and the same is hereby, added to Ordinance No, 1710,
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, to read as follows:
"Sec. 21-106. Zoning Fees.
"The following fees shall be required of all applicants seeking action under
this ordinance:
"Appeal to the Board of Adjustments """.""""" $ 50,00
"Zoning Change Request , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , $200,00
"Special-Use Permit, , , , , , . , , , , , , , , , , , . , , , , , , . . , , , , $200,00

Section 3. That any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a Misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000,00, and each
and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated section shall constitute and
be deemed a separate offense,
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed,
Section S. That this ordinance shall become effective on December 1,2000,
