Minutes of Regular Meeting
Paris - Lamar County Board of Health
The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a Regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19th, 2016.
Board members in attendance were Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. Rick Erickson, Sharmila Franklin, Nancy Stallings and Dr. Robert
White. Dr. Mark Gibbons and Dr. Marc White were not in attendance. Others in attendance were Mrs. Gina Prestridge.
Mr. Collins called the meeting to order in open session at 5:35 p.m.
Dr. Erickson made the motion and was seconded by Dr. R. White to approve the minutes from the prior meeting. All approved.
Mrs. Prestridge advised the board on the following items /subjects:
• Medicaid — number is in effect and can go back and bill for prior 120 days.
• DSRIP Payment / Metric Goal — have to report in Sept., met goal, and should receive $215,000.
• Healthy Texas Women (HTW) Program — new Medicaid program and Medicaid reimbursed. New
signs out front of building.
• Family Planning (FP) Program — new grant, received $9,000., title v money, male and female
contraceptive.
• Moncrief Cancer Project — New program, (UTSW) for paps and HPV.
• New Nurse Practitioner — Kimberly Parks, designated for Moncrieft Cancer patients, teaches at
A &M Commerce.
• Budget including longevity and COLA — Dr. Erickson made the motion and was seconded by Dr. R.
White to approve and adopt budget as presented. All approved.
• Executive Director one -time bonus — Dr. R. White made the motion and was seconded by Mrs.
Stallings to pay Gina Prestridge $6,500. All approved.
• August reports —
o WIC Services 1390 clients served (86) drive thru
0 729 Clinical clients served
0 139 restaurant inspected with 1 complaint
0 6 septic systems inspected with 0 complaint and
0 0 rabies cases.
• Total liability and equity is approximately $641,701.68
The next regular meeting would be October 17th, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at the Paris - Lamar County Health District.
Business to be discussed and possibly action taken on at next meeting: N/A
Dr. Robert White made the motion and was seconded by Mrs. Stallings for the meeting to be adjourned at 6:21 p.m. All
approved.
