1999-082-ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY ADDING SUBSECTION (e) OF SECTION 26-6 OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE NO. 99-082
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY ADDING
SUBSECTION (e) TO SECTION 26-6 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR ASSIGNMENT
PAY FOR THE ASSISTANT COMMANDER OF THE DRUG TASK FORCE; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 8, 1999.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 26-6 ofthe Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding subsection (e) thereto to read as follows:
"Sec. 26-6. Assignment Pay.
"
"(e) Assistant Commander, Drug Task Force
"(1) Assistant Commander, Drug Task Force shall mean a member of
the police department who is assigned to and performs the duties and
responsibilities as Assistant Commander of the Drug Task Force Program.
"(2) The Assistant Commander, Drug Task Force shall be entitled to
compensation at the rate of Sergeant's pay,
"(3) The assignment pay provided by this section shall be received by the
member or members of the police department assigned as the Assistant
Commander, Drug Task Force."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on November 8, 1999.
