<br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-075 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING <br />SUBSECTION (b) OF SECTION 2-35 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A REDUCTION <br />IN NUMBER OF YEARS OF SERVICE REQUIRED FOR ELIGIBILITY FOR SERVICE <br />RETIREMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF <br />DECEMBER 1, 1999. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Subsection (b) of Section 2-35 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br />Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br />"Sec. 2-35. Optional benefit package - Generally. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />"(b) Eligibility for service retirement, Any member, after one (1) year <br />from the effective date of membership, shall be eligible for service retirement at <br />any age who has completed twenty (20) years of creditable service with this City <br />or who has attained the age of sixty (60) years and has completed at least ten (10) <br />years of creditable service with participating municipalities which have adopted the <br />plan provisions of this section, or who has become eligible for service retirement <br />under any other applicable provision of Title 110B, section 61.001 et seq" of the <br />Revised Civil Statutes. " <br /> <br />Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3.
