ORDINANCE NO. 99-076
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY
ADDING SECTION 23-7 TO SAID CODE; PROHIBITING DRILLING AND MINING IN
CITY OF PARIS PARKS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE OF NOVEMBER 1, 1999.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the
same is hereby, amended by adding Section 23-7 to read as follows:
"Sec. 23-7. Mining or drilling in parks.
"Any and all mining or drilling is prohibited in all City of Paris parks which
presently exist or which might be created in the future."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on November 1, 1999.
