AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME ON WT
1, CITY BWCK 327, ON PROPERTY BEWNGING TO MICHAEL MYERS, SO AS TO
INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT (C); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME SO
ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1999.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39)
MOBILE HOME be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 327, on
property belonging to MICHAEL MYERS, so as to include in such ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME the hereinafter
described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT (C), and that the boundaries of said ONE-F AMIL Y DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3
(SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME, be, and the same are hereby,
established as follows:
SITU A TED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the William Driggers Survey, also a
part of the 12 3/4 acres of land which was the East half of a 25 3/4 acre tract of
land conveyed by R.E.L. Jackson et al to J. M. Crow on November 21, 1925, by
deed recorded in Volume 210, Page 629, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas,
and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the above-referenced 12 3/4 acres,
this beginning point being in the center of the Paris and Tigertown Road;
THENCE North a distance of 140 yards to a stake;
THENCE West a distance of 35 yards to a stake;
THENCE South a distance of 140 years to a stake in the center of the Paris
and Tigertown Road;
THENCE East with the center of said road a distance of 35 yards to the
place of beginning, containing one (1) acre of land, being the same property
described in deed from Louis Minor to Bruce Yarbrough and wife, Janell
Yarbrough, dated August 16, 1983, recorded in Volume 660, Page 758, Deed
Records, Lamar County, Texas, and being the same property described in deed
from Shirley Ruth Carrell, f/kJa Shirley Ruth Miller, to Edward Allen Tee1 dated
September 1, 1992, recorded in Volume 307, Page 326, Real Property Records,
Lamar County, Texas, and being number 3420 W. Campbell Street.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1999.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 9th day of September,
1999.
