AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME ON LOT 9,
BLOCK 9, GIBBONS-BRADEN ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JOHNNIE
HORTON, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS
A TWO-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF
THE ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39)
MOBILE HOME SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
$2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER
1, 1999.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE
HOME be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 9, BLOCK 9, GIBBONS-BRADEN
ADDITION, on property belonging to JOHNNIE HORTON, so as to include in such ONE-
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME
the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a TWO-
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F), and that the boundaries of said ONE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME, be, and
the same are hereby, established as follows:
SITU A TED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, being Lot 9,
Block 9, of the Gibbons-Braden Addition, according to map or plat of such
Addition recorded in Volume 1, Page 19, Plat Records, Lamar County, Texas, to
which reference is made for a complete description and all other necessary
purposes; being the same property conveyed by I. N. Burchina1 and wife, MabIe
Burchinal, to H. B. Jones and wife, Betty Jane Jones, on February 25, 1969, by
deed recorded in V olume 487, Page 480, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas,
and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake in the Southwest corner of Lot 9, Block 9,
Gibbons-Braden Addition;
THENCE East a distance of 125 feet to a stake for corner in the Southeast
corner of said tract;
THENCE North a distance of 50 feet to a stake for corner in the Northeast
corner of said tract;
THENCE West a distance of 125 feet to a stake for comer in the Northwest
corner of said tract;
THENCE South a distance of 50 feet to the place of beginning, being
number 1222 16th Street S.E.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1999.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 13th day of September,
1999.
