<br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-068 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING <br />SUBPARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 16-42 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />INCREASE IN THE RESIDENTIAL TRASH PICKUP FEE; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1,1999. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That subparagraph (b) of Section 16-42 of the Code of Ordinances of the City <br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br />"Sec. 16-42. Fees established. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />"(b) A residential trash pickup fee of eight dollars and fIfty cents ($8.50) <br />is established for each residential unit. The occupant of a residential unit who <br />dwells in a multifamily complex consisting of four (4) units or more whose <br />landlord has an annual trash pickup service contract with an approved commercial <br />trash collector is entitled to make application, direct or through his landlord, to the <br />department to be exempt from the eight dollars and fIfty cents ($8.50) residential <br />unit trash pickup fee." <br /> <br />Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 1999 <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of September, 1999. <br /> <br />~tV~. <br /> <br />Charles H.
