1999-068-ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REBVISING SUBPARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 16-42 OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE NO. 99-068
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING
SUBPARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 16-42 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN
INCREASE IN THE RESIDENTIAL TRASH PICKUP FEE; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1,1999.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That subparagraph (b) of Section 16-42 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 16-42. Fees established.
"
"(b) A residential trash pickup fee of eight dollars and fIfty cents ($8.50)
is established for each residential unit. The occupant of a residential unit who
dwells in a multifamily complex consisting of four (4) units or more whose
landlord has an annual trash pickup service contract with an approved commercial
trash collector is entitled to make application, direct or through his landlord, to the
department to be exempt from the eight dollars and fIfty cents ($8.50) residential
unit trash pickup fee."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 1999
