AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING mAT
ORDINANCE NO. 98-041 BE AMENDED; PROVIDING mAT mE CITY OF PARIS
DOES NOT RETAIN A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT ON CLOSED RIGHT-
OF-WAY IN THE SOUTIlWEST INDUSTRIAL PARK; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWIm; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 12, 1999.
BE IT ORDAINED BY mE CITY COUNCIL OF mE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 98-041 be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such
shall read as follows:
"AN ORDINANCE CLOSING mE RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATED
FOR RAILROAD, POWER LINE, UTILITY AND DRAINAGE PURPOSES
LOCA TED NORTH OF LOT 4, BLOCK II A" AND LOT 3, BWCK liB",
soumWEST INDUSTRIAL PARK NO.1, BEGINNING AT mE WEST
BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 5, BWCK "A" EAST TO THE WEST
BOUNDARY LINE OF 13TH STREET S. W., AND FROM THE EAST
BOUNDARY LINE OF 13TH STREET S.W. EAST TO mE EAST
BOUNDARY LINE OF WT 3, BWCK "B"; DECLARING NO NECESSITY
OR NEED OF SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR CITY USE; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 17,1998.
"WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the
City of Paris that a right-of-way dedicated for Railroad, Power Line, Utility and
drainage purposes located north of Lot 4, Block "A" and Lot 3, Block "B",
Southwest Industrial Park No. I, beginning at the west boundary line of Lot 5,
Block "A" east to the west boundary line of 13th Street S.W., and from the east
boundary line of 13th Street S.W. east to the east boundary line of Lot 3, Block
"B" beginning a the west boundary line of Lot 5, Block "A" east to the west
boundary line of 13th Street S.W., and from the east boundary line of 13th Street
S.W. east to the east boundary line of Lot 3, Block "B" , is of no use as a right-of-
way to the City of Paris or to its citizens, and the City Council so finds; NOW,
mEREFORE,
"BE IT ORDAINED BY mE CITY COUNCIL OF mE CITY OF
PARIS:
"Section 1. That the right-of-way dedicated for railroad, power line, utility
and drainage purposes located north of Lot 4, Block "A" and Lot 3, Block "B",
Southwest Industrial Park No.1, beginning at the west boundary line of Lot 5,
Block "A" east to the west boundary line of 13th Street S.W., and from the east
boundary line of 13th Street S.W. east to the east boundary line of Lot 3, Block
"B" beginning a the west boundary line of Lot 5, Block "A" east to the west
boundary line of 13th Street S.W., and from the east boundary line of 13th Street
S.W. east to the east boundary line of Lot 3, Block "B", described in Exhibit A,
attached hereto, is found to be of no use as a right-of-way to the City of Paris or
its citizens; therefore, such right-of-way is hereby closed.
"Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on August 17, 1998."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on April 12, 1999.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of April, 1999.
