AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECU1C USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME ON LOT
9, CITY BLOCK 327, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO WALTER JONES, JR., SO AS
TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-F AMIL Y
DWELLING DISTRICT NO.1 (SF-I); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
ONE-F AMIL Y DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39)
MOBILE HOME SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
$2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1,
1999.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
NO.~71O of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
ON -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39)
MO ILE HOME be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 9, CITY BLOCK 327, on
property belonging to WALTER JONES, JR., so as to include in such ONE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME
the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a ONE-
FAMIL Y DWELLING DISTRICT NO.1 (SF-I), and that the boundaries of said ONE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO.3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME,
be, and the same are hereby, established as follows:
SITU A TED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the William Driggers Survey, being the
same property described in deed from Docia W. Wilson to Walter Jones, Jf.,
Lue1ia Jones, and Ether Jones, recorded April 25, 1961 in the Lamar County Deed
Records, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of the 12 1/2 acre tract conveyed by
R. E. L. Jackson et al to J. M. Crow by deed dated November 21, 1925, of record
in Volume 210, Page 629, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE West with the North Boundary Line of said tract of land a
distance of 70 yards, a stake;
THENCE South a distance of 140 yards, a stake;
THENCE East a distance of 70 yards, a stake in the East Boundary Line of
said 12 1/2 acre tract;
THENCE North, with the said boundary line a distance of 140 yards to the
place of beginning, containing two (2) acres of land, more or less, and being the
same two acre tract of land conveyed by J. M. Crow et ux to Odessie Hancock on
October 13, 1942, and April 1943, by deeds recorded in Volume 265, Pages 210
and 239, Lamar County Deed Records, to which reference is made for all
necessary purposes, being number 1255 34th Street N.W.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective June 1, 1999.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 6th day of May, 1999.
