1. Call meeting to order -Jill Drake 4:31 pm
2. Approval of minutes of November 17, 2016 2016. Motion was made by Cody Kelly and seconded by Laurie
Redus, Motion carried.
3. Managers' Report- Cheri Bedford
a. HPC meeting this Wednesday
b. March 4, 2017 Half Marathon is beginning and ending in the Plaza expecting 1200 people
c. Paris Maps- have two cases available- 2000 please pick up as it is time to update the map
d. Wine Fest April 1, 2017 currently have 5 wineries committed.
e. Movies in the Park have been selected to begin June 15. 22 & 29 and in July 13, 20 & 27.
f. Sidewalk Project on Lamar Ave ( In front of the Grant) and on 1 stSW in front of Swaim Hardware — Plans are
being reviewed , construction bidding at end of January and construction to begin in March and will take 3 -6
months weather permitting
g. Farmers Market meeting Thursday, January 12 at 6 pm- Market opens May 6, 2017
Updated information on Paristexas.gov for Market Square Vendors and Junk in the Trunk Vendors
4. 2017 Work Plans Development -- Discussed our goals for as follows:
a. Something for younger people to do in downtown
b. Messaging Kiosk — informing of what is happening and what is Downtown
C. Downtown clean up
d. Revitalizing Market Square area
e. Action plan on activities: wine fest, movies, main table, ghost tours, etc. (Movie Volunteers- ask Honor
Society Members for service hours)
f. Support for existing business- seeing what is needed
g. Bringing Art to Downtown
h. Event targeting retail
Cheri to take ideas and fill in our Goals.
5. Future Agenda Items- Discuss attendance at HPC meetings
Motion to adjourn made by Shelley McDowell & seconded by Cody Kelly. Motion carried at 5:17 pm.
