ORDINANCE NO. 99-038
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
ANNEXATION ORDINANCE NO. 99-025, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 25TH DAY
OF MARCH, 1999, BE AMENDED BY DELETING TRACT 1 THEREFROM;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY 10, 1999.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 25th day of
March, 1999, in Ordinance No. 99-025, annex eleven (11) tracts of land belonging to the North
Lamar Independent School District, being approximately 150 acres, more or less; and,
WHEREAS, upon closer review of such annexation, it was determined that Tract 1
described in said Ordinance No. 99-025 was not adjacent to the City Limits of the City of Paris;
and,
WHEREAS, it is, therefore, deemed appropriate that Tract 1 be deleted from the
annexation; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Tract 1 described in Ordinance No. 99-025 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same is hereby, deleted from the property annexed by said Ordinance.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on May 10, 1999.
