Meeting Minutes
January 18, 2017
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:OOpm by Fran
Neeley.
Attendance:
Board members in attendance were Fran Neeley, Carol James, Michelle Cowling, Denise Kornegay,
and director Priscilla McAnally. Connie Dodd, Rebecca Umphrey, and Daisy Harvill were absent.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the November meeting were unanimously approved as printed.

None
III. Presentations
a. Budget Report. Expenditures are on target for this year with 34% of the materials
budget spent within the first quarter of the fiscal year.
b. Statistical Report. Slight decreases again this month in Circulation (- 6.54 %) and
Visits (- 9.59 %). Increases were in juvenile book circulation, eBooks, downloadable
audios, and Interlibrary Loans.
IV. Friends of the Library:
No report
V. Director's Remarks:
A new grounds maintenance contractor is doing a great job in planting flowers and keeping
the grounds around the library. The grounds look very nice.
Priscilla is weeding in the fiction collection and in large print fiction.
Pajama Story Time that was held in December was very successful. Future Pajama Story
Times will be scheduled.
