The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Rick Hundley, Chairman, at
12:00 p.m.
A. The following members were present:
Rick Hundley
Jerry Haning
Nathan J. Bell V
Charles Richards
Allen Moore
Bryan Glass
Marilyn Smith
B. The following members were absent:
None
C. Also present was Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and
Development; and Ashley Fendley, City Staff.
Bryan Glass arrived at 12:02 p.m.
2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (April 2, 2013)
Motion was made by Allen Moore, seconded by Nathan J. Bell V to approve minutes for
the April 2, 2013 meeting, with corrections on item number five. Motion carried 7 -0.
3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Paris /Lamar County
Habitat for Humanity's to grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Section 9 -201 (1)
which provides that the "minimum lot width in a Two - Family Dwelling District (2F) be no
less than 60 feet" to allow a minimum lot width of 52.50 feet, which is a 7.5 foot variance,
on Lot 15, Block 112 -F, of the City of Paris, being number 1435 East Washington Street.
Public hearing was declared open.
A. One individual spoke in favor of the petition.
Randy Reese, 610 39"' Street S.E., spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Reese stated
that he was seeking approval for a variance to allow a minimum lot width of 52.50
feet, which is a 7.50 foot variance, to be able to build two Habitat for Humanity
Homes.
B. No one spoke in opposition.
Public hearing was declared closed.
Motion was made by Allen Moore, seconded by Charles Richards to approve the variance
request. Motion carried 7 -0.
5. Meeting adjourned at 12:06 p.m.
