Paris Public Library Advisory Board
Meeting Minutes
May 15, 2013
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:00 pm.
Present:
Board members present were Fran Neeley, Deborah Hatley, Alice Woodard, Hilda Mallory, Linda
Vandiver, Pat Books, Ann Norment, and Library Director, Priscilla McAnally.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as presented
II. New Business:
The library budget for 2014 was presented. It is $7,240 more than last year, including an
additional $5,000.00 more in the Media - Books - CDs -DVDs, etc. category.
The 10 -Year staffmg Projection includes changing one paraprofessional person to
supervisor, and adding three part timers to be able to open all day Mondays.
III. Old Business:
Two applications were presented for the two empty board seats, including Mrs. Connie
Dodd and Ms. Carol James. There were enthusiastically accepted.
IV. Presentations
a. Budget Report revealed no unusual expenditures.
b. Statistical Report shows increases in Visits, Circulation and Memorials.
V. Friends of the Library:
No report from Friends.
VI. Director's Remarks:
The next meeting will be June 12.
