Meeting Minutes
June 12, 2013
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:00 pm.
Present:
Board members present were Fran Neeley, Deborah Hatley, Alice Woodard, Hilda Mallory, Linda
Vandiver, Pat Books, Ann Norment, and Library Director, Priscilla McAnally.
I. Approval of Minutes
The May 15, 2013 minutes were approved and distributed.
II. New Business:
A. The Director distributed a brochure, "Art Work at the Paris Public Library ", containing
biographical information on the artists: John Biggers, Jerry Bywaters, and Jose
Cisneros. More information will follow on the art works themselves.
B. A brochure for "Twice Upon a Time Storytellers" was distributed and considered for
possible adult programs.
III. Old Business:
Judith Kimbrough was an additional applicant for the Library Advisory Board.
IV. Presentations
a. Budget Report: Negatives amounts were minor, including funds spent on additional
postage, more library cards and bar codes. Money from furniture and fixtures -mino
will be spent on chairs in the public computer access area.
b. Statistical Report: Number of library cards was down due to routine purging of
unused cards. Circulation was down, visits were up.

V. Friends of the Library:
No report from Friends.
VI. Director's Remarks:
Director is thinking of spending $1,350 for one year of IndieFlix. It is a movie streaming
resource offering documentaries, short films and feature films from independent film
makers and film festivals.
Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 4:35 p.m.
