Traffic Commission
City of Paris
The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at 5:15 P.M. in the
Municipal Courtroom with the following members present:

Ken Kohls
The city staff was represented by Asst. Chief Randy Tuttle.
The meeting was called to order at 5:15pm by Chairman Stephen Holmes. A
quorum was established by 6 members being present.
Mr. Holmes moved to item #2 to approve minutes from February 16, 2012
meeting. Ms. Schweers made a motion to approve minutes and Mr. McFadden
second the motion. Motion carried 6 -0.
Mr. Holmes moved to item #3 regarding the placement of No Parking Signs in the
2700 -2900 block NE Loop 286. Mr. Tuttle informed members that complaints
were received about vehicles parking on the side of the road in front of Gene's
Flea Market creating a traffic hazard. Mr. Tuttle said numerous parking tickets
have been issued by Officers at that location. Mr. Tuttle also informed member's
city ordinance 90 -025 prohibited parking within state right of way all the way
around Loop 286. Members agreed No Parking Signs should be erected in 2800
block NE Loop 286.
Mr. Holmes moved to item #4 regarding any future agenda items. There were
none.
At 5:30pm Mr. Kohls made a motion to adjourn the meeting and was second by
Mr. Shiver. Motion carried 6 -0
