MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH
The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held a regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May
22, 2012, at the Paris -Lamar County Health Department. Board members in attendance
included Dr. Wally Kraft, Chairman, Dr. Bert Strom, Mr. Larry Reaves, Mr. Bill Strathern, and Mr.
Brady Fisher. Others in attendance included Judge Chuck Superville, Mr. Gene Anderson, Mrs.
Gina Prestridge, Mrs. Carla Rhodes, Ms. Cheryl Johnson, and Mrs. Rebecca Sanders. Board
Members that were not present at the meeting were Dr. David Carpenter and Dr. Robert
Moseley.
Meeting called to order at 6:10 PM.
Dr. Strom made the motion and was seconded by Mr. Fisher that minutes of previous meeting
be approved.
Mrs. Prestridge, Executive Director /Administrator, talked about her future plans, including
trying to purchase or lease a new building, getting all charts in one central location, updating
forms, looking for other available grants, problems with the current email carrier and security,
and marketing at outreach clinics.
Dr. Kraft made the motion and the seconded by Mr. Reaves at 7:15 PM. for Board Members to
convene into Executive Session, Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, to
deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or
dismissal of a public officer or employee as follows: Job responsibilities at the Paris -Lamar
County Health Department and WIG Offices.
Board Members convened into open session and that the executive session ended with no
formal action taken during executive session. Dr. Kraft made the motion and was seconded by
Mr. Fisher at 7:45 PM. The Board Members voted unanimously to accept the motion.
Next regular meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. to be held at
the Paris -Lamar County Health Department.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM.
